Safe Harbor. Good Times.

Just a quick note to let all our European friends know that Wufoo complies with the US-EU Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the [U.S. Department of Commerce](http://www.commerce.gov/) regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries. Yay! Our company has also certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. Hear, hear!

We recommend you make yourself up a cup of hot cocoa with the little tiny marshmallows, wrap yourself in one of those colorful Snuggies and read all the riveting details in our updated [Privacy Policy](http://www.wufoo.com/privacy/). It’s good stuff. You can learn even more by visiting the [Safe Harbor Program Website](http://www.export.gov/safeharbor/) and checking out our [certification page](http://safeharbor.export.gov/companyinfo.aspx?id=16757).

  • That is great you guys. Always good to see what great things you come up with to move your company forward. You’re an inspiration to young developers like myself who are looking to create a small business. Nice work.

  • That’s really good news for us in Europe. You already had good processes in place so we could use the service in compliance with local rules but now it is certified – makes documentation much easier. Happy Holidays !

  • Very good. This is important for us in the US. Shame that most other US Web 2.0 service providers don’t care/understand about clients and the market conditions in the wider world. I hope that this move by a leading Web 2.0 company (ahem, wufoo, that’s you) will inspire others.
